We are working alongside four other architects to create housing designs for a new Eco Town development in Cornwall.
Developed by the Eco-Bos consortium, the town was one of only four schemes chosen by the government in 2009 to receive confirmed funding. The scheme will contain 5,000 homes, as well as facilities for the community and businesses, and will be carbon neutral in nett terms. Initially we will be building a mixture of detached and terraced houses as part of a pilot scheme, planned for construction in 2016. These will provide an opportunity to showcase how innovative construction and sustainable techniques can be integrated with the local vernacular to provide a new community.
